Description
The Position Reporting to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards, this role supports the administration and ongoing enhancement of the compensation policies, programs, and practices through research, market analysis, and data insight. The position helps ensure that compensation programs are competitive, aligned with business needs, and effective in supporting the attraction, reward, and retention of talent. This is a contract position lasting until December 31, 2026. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Provide day-to-day support to HR and business leaders by responding to compensation-related inquiries and assisting with routine requests. Accountability for benchmarking positions and job pricing analysis. Support the design and implementation of compensation programs, including base salary, annual incentives, and other reward initiatives. Assist in analyzing and reviewing global compensation programs to identify trends, ensure market competitiveness, and support efficient administration. Prepare data analysis, reports, and presentation materials to support leadership and HR stakeholders in compensation-related decisions. Participate in annual and ad hoc market compensation surveys, including data submission, validation, and initial analysis of results. Support the development of communication materials to help explain compensation programs and initiatives to HR Business Partners and employees. Support the maintenance of job architecture (e.g., job banding, job descriptions, evaluation frameworks) to ensure consistency and accuracy. Participate in the company-wide annual compensation review, including the development of the compensation review planning calendar, training material, liaising with HRIS on technical issues, providing troubleshooting support and advice to the HR advisory team throughout the planning cycle, testing planned system/tool enhancements and identifying system/process improvements for future years. Lead and/or participate in specific compensation projects and initiatives as required. These will vary in size, scope and duration and may be individual or team-based. Participate in the company-wide annual compensation review. To be successful in this role, you should have: University degree (preferably in Human Resources or Business) with a minimum of 3 years of compensation or related Total Rewards experience. Global compensation experience (preferred). Strong computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in a global HCM system, Workday experience is preferred. The ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be results-focused. A solid understanding of Human Resources Programs, key business processes, practices, and policies. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong customer service skills with a drive for resolution and results. Proven time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work collaboratively. A high degree of professionalism and aptitude to deal with highly sensitive and confidential Information. Additional Information Office-based working environment, work from our Calgary, Alberta office three or more days per week. This position may be filled at different levels depending on the selected candidate’s skills, experience, and demonstrated impact. #LI-LW2
