Provides instruction to student-athletes to develop their overall athleticism, agility, skills, and understanding of the sport. Assists with recruitment of student-athletes. The Assistant Coach assumes the responsibility of leading and conducting team activities, practices and meets, if the Head Coach is not present.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Functions:</b></p><ul><li><p>In collaboration with the Head Men’s &amp; Women’s Swimming Coach, provides general oversight and direction for day-to-day plans, goals, and activities of the swimming program. Assist in teaching fundamentals, techniques, and training procedures to aid in developing a high-quality team. Assist in supervision of all swimming workouts, flexibility, general aerobic conditioning, video review, and weight workout. Assist in preparation of practices and meets, as well as developing a comprehensive seasonal training plan. Responsible for the day-to-day plans, goals and administration of the program related to competitions, workouts, and student-athlete welfare.
