Calo Programs is hiring Behavioral Health Associates —also known as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Youth Care Workers, Residential Counselors, Youth Mentors, or Behavioral Health Technicians —to support youth overcoming trauma and emotional challenges. This is a year-round opportunity (not seasonal) to grow your career while doing meaningful, purpose-driven work in a nationally recognized residential treatment program. As the nation’s leading trauma-informed residential treatment center, we combine clinical care with experiential therapies—like hiking, art, music, and yoga—to help teens heal and thrive. Why Calo? Through hiking, art, music, yoga, and team-based experiences, our mentors help students build trust, resilience, and lifelong coping skills. Your Role: As a Behavioral Health Associate, you’ll build meaningful relationships with our students while ensuring their safety and emotional well-being. You’ll lead daily routines, attend therapy groups, and participate in engaging on- and off-campus activities that promote healing and personal growth. Responsibilities Support youth with daily routines, hygiene, chores, and personal development Engage in group therapy and team-building activities Ensure a safe, structured, and emotionally supportive environment Implement treatment strategies alongside clinical teams Maintain professional boundaries while offering genuine mentorship Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Age 21+ Ability to pass background checks and physical Experience in residential care or with at-risk youth preferred (but not required) ⭐ EMTs and those with first responder backgrounds are encouraged to apply! ⭐ Benefits Access to an established Mastery Program that offers professional and financial opportunities for professional growth.
