You will drive execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. In addition to project delivery, you will support team development and improve project management practices across the organization.<br><br><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong><br>Project management & execution:</p><ul style=\"margin-bottom:11px;\"><li>Lead complex projects from design through production, commissioning, and delivery.</li><li>Develop and execute project plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, and stakeholder alignment.</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to produce complete, production-ready work packages.</li><li>Manage project controls, including budget tracking, cost-to-complete forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with Accounting.</li><li>Oversee commercial execution, including change orders, contract compliance, and client approvals.</li><li>Drive project reporting, reviews, and lessons learned to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement.</li></ul>Technical & cross-functional collaboration:<ul><li>Identify, qualify, and integrate vendors and products to meet project and technical requirements.</li><li>Specify and deliver key components (e.g., pumps, valves, motors, filters) in partnership with suppliers.</li><li>Ensure designs are manufacturable and aligned with production timelines in coordination with Supply Chain and Production.</li><li>Maintain compliance with quality standards and control processes through alignment with Quality Assurance.</li><li>Support and oversee commissioning activities at the factory and customer sites.</li><li>Contribute to design standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, including pilot projects and new product development.</li></ul>Leadership & continuous improvement:<ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients on assigned projects.</li><li>Mentor and coach Project Managers and Engineers to support team development and performance.</li><li>Align cross-functional teams to resolve escalations and maintain project momentum.</li><li>Improve and standardize project management processes, tools, and templates.</li><li>Support Business Development in project scoping and strategic initiatives.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications:</strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field).</li><li>P.Eng. registered or eligible for registration.</li><li>10+ years of experience in project management or engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.</li><li>Demonstrated experience delivering engineering projects in fast-paced settings.</li><li>Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, including pressure piping (ASME B31.3), heat exchangers, and pumps.</li><li>Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD P&ID is an asset.</li></ul><strong>Core competencies:</strong><ul><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Excellent organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.</li><li>Proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving, including direct troubleshooting or tooling experience.</li><li>Demonstrated ownership and accountability.</li><li>Ability to travel to customer and vendor sites, including to the USA.</li></ul><p><strong>Why join Saltworks?</strong></p><p>At Saltworks, you'll collaborate with talented colleagues to solve complex, real-world problems – designing and delivering innovative water treatment and lithium refining systems for some of the world's most recognized companies.
