We are seeking a Director of Field Operations to lead production, field operations, and contractor performance across our Energy Conservation and Weatherization programs.</p><p>This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys driving accountability and performance, and is passionate about delivering high-quality energy efficiency and weatherization services that improve communities throughout Illinois.</p><h2>What You&#39;ll Do:</h2><ul><li><p>Lead field operations for Energy Conservation and Weatherization programs, including single-family, multifamily, HVAC, and utility-funded initiatives</p></li><li><p>Drive production performance and ensure teams meet program goals, spending targets, quality standards, and funding requirements</p></li><li><p>Partner with managers and field teams to improve operational efficiency and maximize program outcomes</p></li><li><p>Monitor production metrics, project timelines, and program performance using established tracking tools</p></li><li><p>Resolve client and contractor escalations while providing guidance and support to managers</p></li><li><p>Oversee implementation of Weatherization Plus and Healthy Homes measures in accordance with state and federal guidelines</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with fleet and equipment teams to ensure operational needs are met</p></li><li><p>Respond to field emergencies and work with contractors and managers to quickly resolve issues</p></li><li><p>Lead procurement processes, including RFP development, contractor selection, bid evaluations, and negotiations</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with quality standards, building performance requirements, and program regulations</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with leadership to improve workflows, operational processes, and organizational effectiveness</p></li><li><p>Provide regular operational updates, performance reporting, and recommendations to senior leadership</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned</p></li></ul><h2>Why Join Us?</h2><p><strong>Benefits:</strong> Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and professional development opportunities.</p><p><strong>Growth:</strong> Take on a key leadership role driving operational excellence, improving processes, and shaping the success of weatherization and energy efficiency programs.</p><p><strong>Impact:</strong> Make a meaningful difference by helping deliver energy conservation services that create healthier, more energy-efficient homes and strengthen communities across Illinois.</p><h2>What We&#39;re Looking For:</h2><h3>Required:</h3><ul><li><p>Bachelor&#39;s degree in construction management, Building Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, OR 10 years of equivalent experience</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 7 years of experience managing field operations, construction projects, weatherization programs, energy efficiency programs, or related operational environments</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience managing production targets, project timelines, contractors, and field-based teams</p></li><li><p>Strong leadership experience overseeing managers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams</p></li><li><p>Ability to obtain Building Performance Institute (BPI) credentials and required State Training and Certification Program (TCP) certifications within one year of hire</p></li><li><p>Valid driver&#39;s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Cook County and surrounding areas</p></li></ul><h3>Preferred:</h3><ul><li><p>Experience with nonprofit organizations or community action agencies</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Illinois Home Weatherization Assistance Program (IHWAP)</p></li><li><p>Experience managing utility-funded energy efficiency programs</p></li><li><p>Project Management Professional (PMP) certification</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of procurement processes, contractor negotiations, and bid management</p></li><li><p>Experience with multifamily and single-family construction or weatherization projects</p></li></ul><h2>Skills &amp;
