    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Touro University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Long Island Campus has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses in the DPT curriculum. Applicants with expertise in Musculoskeletal PT, Neuromuscular PT, PT Administration, Advocacy, as well as basic sciences such as Physiology and Exercise Physiology are encouraged to apply. This is a pooled position from which adjunct faculty will be hired. As openings occur we will draw candidates from this pool. Applicants whose area of expertise meets the needs of the program will be contacted (Note: this position also exists for the Manhattan campus DPT program under a separate job link).</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Responsibilities: Prepare for and teach courses within area of expertise as assigned for the semester hired.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design class lectures, activities and assignments that meet the course objectives and syllabus requirement.</li>\n <li>Create examinations to evaluate student knowledge.</li>\n <li>Utilize Canvas (our learning management system)to post materials and enhance course content.</li>\n <li>Grade assignments within the course and submit course grades at the completion of the course</li>\n <li>Meet with students as needed to provide support and guidance.</li>\n <li>Attend meetings with Program Director as requested or as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/ Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Entry level Physical Therapy Degree required for physical therapy courses.</li>\n <li>Minimum of a Bachelor's degree for other courses.</li>\n <li>Specialist certification or residency in subject matter taught</li>\n <li>Prior Teaching experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong communication skills and inter-personal skills</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $100.00/Hr.\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $60.00/Hr.",
