          "text": "<p>KPFF Seattle’s Civil Team designs sites that enable land to be developed for commercial, residential, institutional, and recreational purposes. We also design critical public and private infrastructure systems that support the built and natural environments, including district energy, regional storm drainage facilities, utility grids, and trails. We support projects ranging from feasibility evaluations and master planning to design, permitting, and construction. Our group works in close collaboration with owners, architects, landscape architects, and other engineering disciplines to build a more sustainable, resilient, and thriving community.&#xa0;</p><p>Located in downtown Seattle, our&#xa0;<strong>Civil Engineering&#xa0;</strong>team is seeking a&#xa0;<strong>Civil CAD Drafter/Technician.</strong>&#xa0;This position will&#xa0;provide the opportunity for you&#xa0;to dive headfirst into real-world projects from day one.&#xa0;You’ll&#xa0;collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the design and development of civil infrastructure across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. You will support projects by creating, managing, updating, and&#xa0;maintaining&#xa0;a variety of drawings with a strong eye for presentation and attention to detail.&#xa0;We’re&#xa0;looking for team members who are excited to make a difference in the world and the communities we live and work in, are effective communicators, and thrive in collaborative environments.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties:</strong>&#xa0;</p><p>With the supervision of a CAD technician, project engineer, and/or project manager, you will:&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Research jurisdictional codes and manuals to&#xa0;determine&#xa0;drafting and CAD requirements&#xa0;</li><li>Create project drawings and&#xa0;exhibit&#xa0;deliverables&#xa0;</li><li>Apply established company,&#xa0;jurisdiction, and/or project cad standards&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Maintain organization of project files&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Prepare and edit plans, profiles, sections, and details from rough sketches, redline mark-ups, and verbal instruction from team members&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Perform vehicular turning studies using software such as&#xa0;AutoTurn&#xa0;</li><li>Be responsible for&#xa0;presentation and overall drawing appearance and clarity&#xa0;</li><li>Coordinate with engineers and team members&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Plot and scan drawings&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>Complete drawings and project responsibilities within acceptable timeline&#xa0;&#xa0;</li><li>For CAD Technicians, understand, model, and use Civil 3D design elements&#xa0;&#xa0;</li></ul>",
