Discover how your skills and dedication can make a real difference to us.</p>\n<h2>About this Role</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>\n<p>NorthStar Energy Services is seeking an experienced and technically strong Designer to join the Professional Engineering Consulting team in Arlington or Houston, Texas. This role requires hands-on leadership for complex deliverables while supporting project execution under the direction of the Design Supervisor and Engineering Manager.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<p><strong>Design</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) using AutoCAD, and CADWorx in coordination with engineers and multi-disciplined design teams.</li>\n <li>Design project-specific Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) in accordance with company, client, and applicable industry standards for integration into new or existing facilities.</li>\n <li>Interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to establish project scope and design requirements.</li>\n <li>Prepare design drawings and concept sketches to support construction execution, change orders, cost estimates, and field activities.</li>\n <li>Generate and maintain required project documentation, including status reports, punch lists, as-built sketches, and material quantity calculations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Detailed Design and Documentation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the development and maintenance of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in accordance with company, client, and applicable industry standards.</li>\n <li>Interpret process design basis, PFDs, and control philosophies to accurately reflect process intent within P&IDs.</li>\n <li>Develop and update detailed P&IDs to define process equipment, piping systems, valves, line designations, control loops, and safety systems.</li>\n <li>Ensure correct tagging, symbology, line numbering, and legend application consistent with project and client standards.</li>\n <li>Coordinate closely with other disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, process to ensure full integration and consistency across all design documents.</li>\n <li>Incorporate vendor data, relief scenarios, cause & effect requirements, and control narratives into P&ID deliverables.</li>\n <li>Perform rigorous QA/QC reviews of P&IDs and related documents, maintaining accountability for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.</li>\n <li>Support design reviews, model reviews, and client meetings by preparing and revising P&IDs to reflect approved design changes.</li>\n <li>Maintain revision control and ensure all updates are accurately captured and issued as construction-ready documentation.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Deliverable Management and Coordination</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Research, review, and apply company drafting standards, client requirements, and applicable regulatory codes to all process drawings.</li>\n <li>Perform independent QA/QC reviews of process design and deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance.</li>\n <li>Verify that site-development drawings align with overall process design intent and layout requirements.</li>\n <li>Support Professional Engineers during the design phase, including standards review, gathering calculation inputs, and providing drafting-related technical support.</li>\n <li>Coordinate process drafting requirements with multi-discipline project teams to ensure seamless integration of design elements.</li>\n <li>Review drawings from other disciplines to confirm proper coordination and consistency with process systems.</li>\n <li>Review and respond to Request for Information (RFIs) to maintain drawing accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.</li>\n <li>Review third-party vendor drawings to ensure compatibility and proper integration with the intended process design.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.</li>\n <li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience in process systems design.</li>\n <li>All qualified candidates will be required to complete an in-person, computer-based assessment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Expertise</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of five (5) years of current experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.</li>\n <li>Detailed knowledge in the application of Codes and current Standards, including but not limited to:\n  <ul>\n   <li>ISO 10628</li>\n   <li>IEC 61511</li>\n   <li>IEC 61882</li>\n   <li>ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8</li>\n   <li>ASME BPVC-VIII (Div 1)</li>\n   <li>API 520/521</li>\n   <li>API 650</li>\n   <li>API 610</li>\n   <li>NFPA 70</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Ability to independently research and interpret equipment data, vendor documentation, and technical references.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Communication & Collaboration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, project
