This position is a full time, permanent position on a 3-cycle shift pattern.  Reporting to the Operations Lead, duties of the Charge Hand will include:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Role responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a culture of safety first by supervising adherence to safety procedures.</li>\n<li>Plan and communicate the daily production workload in conjunction with the Operations Lead, delegating duties to relevant people.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all production related information is maintained in the ERP system. </li>\n<li>Troubleshoot on blow moulding and injection moulding machine processes as required.</li>\n<li>Motivate, encourage and give feedback to the team and resolve any concerns /roadblocks to achieving targets.</li>\n<li>Develop team skills to ensure operators are trained appropriately.</li>\n<li>Liaise with engineers and other departments to ensure smooth running of production, resolve issues and reduce downtime.</li>\n<li>Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Feedback and report production and machine metrics and relevant issues to the Operations Lead</li>\n<li>Assume responsibility for overall management of the shift in absence of Operations Lead. </li>\n<li>Other duties as may be required by supervisor from time to time.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To be successful in this role:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment</li>\n<li>Ideally previous experience managing a team of operators</li>\n<li>Strong organisation skills, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines</li>\n<li>Be able to work on own initiative</li>\n<li>Ability to learn new tasks quickly and take on a wide range of responsibilities</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills including the ability to brief/debrief a team</li>\n<li>Ability to foster good working relationships within and across teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Benefits:Competitive Salary<br>26 days holidays<br>Career Growth and Development Opportunities<br>Company Gym<br>Wellness Programme<br>Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Mergon is an Equal Opportunity Employer that offers flexible working arrangements and values a diverse and inclusive workplace.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing Date: 15th May 2026</span></p>\n<p> </p>",
