We are currently seeking a<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Professional Billing Patient Account Representative</span> in our Lisle, IL office to provide third-party Professional follow-up, billing, and re-billing services to our clients.   </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Description:</span>   The experienced Professional Billing Patient Account Representative will work as a member of our Client Team to support the efficient collection of professional claims for our Hospital clients. This full-time position will have standard work hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. The is a hybrid position with the opportunity to become fully remote.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact third party payers to verify eligibility, obtain claim status and take steps to properly resolve CMS 1500/837P claims</li>\n<li>Utilize the various internal and online follow up tools provided by Westerkamp Group, LLC and our clients to resolve accounts  </li>\n<li>Critically analyzing account balances, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), denial reason codes (CARC), and remittance advice remark codes (RARC) on CMS-1500 /837P claim forms to determine the root cause of denials</li>\n<li>Maintain work queues and track trends that can be escalated to management</li>\n<li>Clearly notate accounts per Westerkamp Group or client specific standards</li>\n<li>Review paper correspondence and take necessary action to resolve insurance payer requests.</li>\n<li>Analyze and submit cash posting payment and contractual adjustment errors</li>\n<li>Ability to adhere to strict compliance guidelines related to HIPAA</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Self-motivated and ability to work well within a team and independently</li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail</li>\n<li>Excellent telephone and written communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work with multiple patient accounting and billing systems</li>\n<li>Willingness to learn new application systems and unique billing and collection requirements of our client</li>\n<li>Proficiency in computer skill</li>\n<li>Teamwork and a positive attitude</li>\n<li>Motivated to learn and adapt to changing environments and multiple projects</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Education and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent</li>\n<li>Epic PB collections and follow-up experience preferred</li>\n<li>Hospital Billing</li>\n<li>Professional Billing</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Pay Range: $18 – $27/ hour (depending on experience)</p>\n<p>Benefits: Comprehensive package including health, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equal Opportunity &amp; Accommodations</span></p>\n<p>Westerkamp Group, LLC, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
