Responsible for the safety, security, and well-being of the residents, staff, and visitors within the facility. The&nbsp;overall job summary includes ensuring safety of the staff&rsquo;s working conditions, safety of the residents and&nbsp;protecting the Program facility. This position focuses on maintaining a secure and welcoming environment that&nbsp;promotes the dignity, comfort, and independence of residents. Required to cover nights and weekends, as&nbsp;needed. Other responsibilities include working harmoniously with Program staff in accordance with&nbsp;Comunilife principles and guidelines. Reports to Program Director.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Continually monitors the front door for safety and security purposes.</li>\r\n\t<li>Check all incoming/out coming traffic of clients, visitors and staff.</li>\r\n\t<li>Check incoming traffic means the Security must have the client sign in the client log before he/she gives the client his/her key to go up to his/her room.</li>\r\n\t<li>Must make sure that clients sign out and hand in their key to the Security as they are going out. Security must also check to make sure the client is not taking out with him/her any program private property.</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintain log entries on shift reports.</li>\r\n\t<li>Notification to program staff of security violations, and when necessary to the NYPD (New York Police Department). Must make sure that client is not bringing in alcoholic beverages, contraband drugs, weapons or any electronic equipment such as computers, air conditioners, and others.</li>\r\n\t<li>Document all incidents, concerns, or rule violations in the security log.</li>\r\n\t<li>Follow procedures to secure, report, control and dispose of confiscated contraband, i.e., alcoholic beverages, drugs with intention to deal.</li>\r\n\t<li>Patrol the building and outside courtyards at least one every three hours during the day and once every hour during evening and nights, as scheduled. This includes halls, stairs, and public bathrooms. Check the facility for any safety hazards and report the same to the Program Director.</li>\r\n\t<li>Clear public areas of loitering residents.</li>\r\n\t<li>Report to the Program Director any unusual violation of house rules.</li>\r\n\t<li>Keep log entries of violations of house rules.</li>\r\n\t<li>Attend mandated in-service training programs and meetings.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
