An AI Engineer at Modus typically reports to a Director, AI &amp; Engineering and above.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Build AI-powered solutions for client projects, from discovery through production</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Integrate AI models (OpenAI, open-source LLMs, etc.) into production systems and APIs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Develop and optimize prompts, retrieval systems (RAG), and agent-based workflows</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Implement guardrails, observability, and monitoring for AI systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Optimize performance, latency, and cost of AI applications</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Rapidly prototype solutions to validate ideas and demonstrate value to clients</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Document approaches, experiments, and system architecture clearly</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Work cooperatively with Modus project and account managers, designers, engineers, and other team members, as required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Report progress/updates and/or communicate with other team members, project leads, and our clients, as required</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 300\">Other duties related to the position that may arise from time to time and as may be assigned</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">5+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or related fields</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong programming skills in Java script and TypeScript for integration</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Hands-on experience with LLMs and modern AI tools and frameworks (e.g., OpenAI APIs, LangChain, vector databases)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Understanding of RAG architectures, embeddings, and semantic search</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience integrating AI into full-stack applications (APIs, frontends, backend services)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong (English) communication skills with the ability to explain AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">You’re located in Buenos Aires and are willing to work from our office at least 2 times a month (hybrid schedule)  </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Nice to Have</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Familiarity with LLM observability tools like Langfuse.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience with evaluation frameworks and prompt testing methodologies</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience building AI agents or automation workflows</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Understanding of data pipelines for AI native formats</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">For a complete list of employee benefits, refer to your local Employee or Contractor Handbook, as appropriate</span></li>\n</ul>",
