          "text": "<p>The City of Mission is seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual to&#xa0;ensure compliance with the City's traffic and parking regulations, investigate complaints, enforce bylaws and perform a variety of inspection, regulatory and enforcement duties related to the investigation and enforcement of municipal bylaws and policies on a full-time, temporary basis from approximately June 2026 to August 2027.&#xa0;</p><p>This position involves extensive public relations contact which requires the exercise of independent judgment, action, tact and diplomacy as you will be responsible for&#xa0;performing patrols and enforcing parking related bylaws on assigned City streets, lanes and parking lots to ensure vehicles are parked in compliance with municipal bylaws, interpreting and explaining parking regulations to the public; investigating public complaints regarding illegally parked vehicles, providing exceptional customer service and preparing reports. You will issue warnings, informations, and bylaw violation notices; arrange for the removal of unlawfully parked vehicles and perform other duties as required including&#xa0;act a license inspector assessing business license applications and issuing licenses.</p>",

          "text": "<p>The ideal candidate will have completed the Justice Institute of British Columbia’s (JIBC) Bylaw Compliance, Enforcement and Investigative Skills 1 <u><strong>and </strong></u>Bylaw Compliance, Enforcement and Investigative Skills 2 courses (or recognized equivalent) supplemented by courses in Human Behaviour and Criminology (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered). At least two years of experience performing related enforcement work is required.</p><p>You will have excellent organizational skills; the ability to problem-solve; work independently and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. A valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean criminal record is required.</p>",
