POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Facilities Director, the Building Supervisor will provide leadership for facility readiness, department supervision, and member satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides excellent service and maintains positive relations with members, guests, program participants, and co-workers in the YMCA.
When closing the branch, the building supervisor is asked to ensure the members have exited the building, the facility is locked, and an alarm is set.
Ensures that all safety and risk management standards are adhered to.
Reports unusual conditions and/or foreseeable problems to management.
Develops the ability to work without constant direct supervision.
Maintains a positive attitude and contributes toward a quality work environment.
Monitors facility cleanliness, addresses any cleanliness issues, Launders towels, and reviews program area cleanliness.
Exemplifies YMCA character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Wears appropriate staff uniform.
Supervises the building use by members and program participants. Records and responds to inappropriate actions and takes appropriate steps to reprimand or dismiss involved parties as needed.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 1-3 years of supervisory experience with emphasis on YMCA experience.
Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention; CPR for the Professional Rescuer; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Physical Demand: Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of the position and to safely supervise activities.
