    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">J<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ob Summary:</span>  The Worship Director is responsible to provide God-centered, Christ-exalting music that ministers to the church body and is performed with excellence; and to provide direction, oversight, and coordination of musical, artistic, and technical elements of worship services. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Duties:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee the Worship ministry including elements of sound, visuals, lighting, recording, musicians, and singers.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate a passion for engaging the church in worship; be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading.</li>\n<li>Prayerfully set a vision for the Worship Ministry with a plan to carry it out. Teach the vision to members of the worship ministry team.</li>\n<li>Conduct weekly discipleship meetings with members of the worship team.</li>\n<li>Choose songs for Sunday worship services in collaboration with worship team and pastoral staff.</li>\n<li>Maintain worship service details in the Planning Center software.</li>\n<li>Provide leadership coordination for “special” worship services; explore and implement ways for using church musicians and vocalists in outreach opportunities.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with the teaching team for presentation software and use of electronic resources (microphones, DVD/CD recordings, reproduction, etc.).</li>\n<li>Coordinate scheduling and leading music team rehearsals.</li>\n<li>Recruit, train, and mentor the volunteer music team and grow the volunteer servant base. Conduct auditions to recruit new team members.</li>\n<li>Provide input into the music ministry budget.</li>\n<li>Attend meetings upon request.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills/Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be or become an active member of New Life with strong ties to our mission and vision.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate characteristics of humility, leadership, and the fruit of the spirit (as outlined in Gal. 5:22-23) of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.</li>\n<li>Strong vocal and instrumental skills; excellent comprehension of musical theory; understanding of trends in contemporary and emerging worship. Experience in a church setting.</li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.</li>\n<li>A strong passion and ability for equipping and developing volunteer musicians.</li>\n<li>Exceptional communication and organizational skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to work and contribute to a team-based environment, adaptable to multiple worship styles, music styles and venues.</li>\n<li>Basic understanding of recording software, notation software, and audio/video/lighting technology.</li>\n<li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.</li>\n</ul>",
