    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Objective of Position:</u></strong></p>\n<div style=\"font-style:normal; font-weight:400\">\n Answer internal calls while providing service, order taking of food and beverages items in guest rooms according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. &nbsp;Assist in the maintenance of the In Room Dining area and equipment.\n</div>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities and Job Duties:&nbsp;</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Promptly answer guests’ calls, announce any specials, promote menu items and answer questions regarding preparation methods.</li>\n <li>Document orders, repeat items back to callers to ensure accuracy and quote expected arrival time per set standards with speed and accuracy.</li>\n <li>Input order information into POS, allowing kitchen staff to begin preparation; note any special requests clearly.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Accurately assist ringing up and posting honor bar charges to Guest Folios.</li>\n <li>Assist service staff during peak periods by preparing service trays and generally assisting with all efforts to ensure prompt delivery.</li>\n <li>Respond to guest complaints in a positive manner, negotiate a compromise and implement a solution satisfactory to the guest.</li>\n <li>Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/ her attention corrective action could be taken when appropriate.</li>\n <li>Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.</li>\n <li>In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Special Skills Required:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation.</li>\n <li>Basic knowledge of POS systems.</li>\n <li>Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, balance sheets and vouchers.</li>\n <li>Sufficient manual dexterity in hands in order to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.</li>\n <li>Ability to read, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and other staff members.</li>\n <li>Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.</li>\n <li>Ability to work stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.</li>\n <li>Ability to operate beverage equipment: coffeemaker, iced tea machine, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education Required:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma preferred.
