Creates timely and actionable data insights that create awareness and provide decision support to lead process improvement efforts to optimize patient outcomes.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>A day in the life of a <strong>IT Senior Data Analyst</strong> at <strong>Hackensack Meridian Health</strong> includes:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides leadership and mentoring for projects and data analysts. </li>\n <li>Serves as the organization-wide content expert on clinical measurement/analysis methods and imparts relevant details to senior leaders and quality team members. Continually expands/updates this knowledge. </li>\n <li>Understands and communicates the business impacts of data findings. </li>\n <li>Identifies data problems, assists in researching solutions, and recommending corrective actions to achieve higher levels of integrity and efficiency.</li>\n <li>Oversees individual data projects from start to finish. </li>\n <li>Writes queries for research and other requests. </li>\n <li>Provides expertise and translates the business needs to design; and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization. </li>\n <li>Creates interactive and actionable reports of performance including deviations and anomalies. </li>\n <li>Meets with end users to gather data analysis requirements to deliver accurate results. </li>\n <li>Liaises with business leaders to explain the possibilities and limitations of data analysis. </li>\n <li>Contributes to written reports and presentation materials describing project or task objectives, methods, data, and results. </li>\n <li>Works with organizational stakeholders to define benchmarks. </li>\n <li>Retrieves and creates benchmarks. </li>\n <li>Troubleshoots issues and new requests that require ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) builds or modifications.</li>\n <li>Supports end users on functionality and navigation of reports and information. </li>\n <li>Ensures data accuracy through validation and transparency. </li>\n <li>Supports governance, maintains and adds measures, flags and cohorts to the data catalog.</li>\n <li>Other duties and/or projects as assigned. </li>\n <li>Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required</strong>: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. </li>\n <li>Minimum of 3+ years of experience in data analytics. </li>\n <li>Strong data science skills using tools like SQL, R, Python, or SAS. </li>\n <li>Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex analysis and make recommendations based on statistical inferences. Experience with a wide variety of analytical or statistical methods. </li>\n <li>Strong ability to mentor and lead team members. </li>\n <li>Strong ability to project manage. </li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Business Intelligence products (i.e. Looker, Tableau, QLik, etc.). </li>\n <li>Excellent oral, writing and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with varying audiences. </li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to articulate goals, plan and implement processes to achieve those goals, recognize and assess the implications of confounding variables. </li>\n <li>Independent working ability with strong time management skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred</strong>: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle. </li>\n <li>A Master's degree in data science or related field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you feel that the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!  </p>\n<h2>Starting Minimum Rate</h2>Minimum rate of $113,609.60 Annually\n<h2>Job Posting Disclosure</h2>HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization. Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
