    "description": "<p>Who We Are <br><br>We are a dynamic independent insurance brokerage providing auto, personal lines and commercial insurance.  We operate three locations in Burnaby, BC.  Our family roots shine through in our commitment to our employees and our customers.  Learn more about our story. <br><br>Who You Are <br><br>We are looking for knowledgeable Level 1 or 2 personal lines brokers to work in our retail location on Kingsway, Burnaby in the Highgate Village Shopping Centre.  As a Retail CSR, you have excellent communication skills, thrive in a busy and diverse work environment, enjoy pivoting between different tasks, are sales focused and strive to help your clients.  You can capably and accurately present facts, choices, and useful advice, verbally and in writing, so that new and existing customers can make a confident and informed decision regarding their insurance needs. <br><br>• Hold a Level 1 or 2 Insurance Broker license in British Columbia. <br>• At least 1 years experience in selling ICBC insurance<br>• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel; Outlook), Policy Center; familiarity with EPIC an asset <br>• Affinity for helping others; enjoy being part of a team; are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment <br>• Excited about contributing each day to the growth of Park Insurance, and your personal development<br>  <br>What You’ll Do <br><br> Sales <br>  <br>• Promptly follow up on walk in and company provided personal lines insurance leads through a variety of methods; motivated and willing to conduct in-person and telephone sales <br>• Evaluate the insurance needs of clients and prospects (ensuring no gaps or lapses in coverage) <br>• Regularly follow-up with all prospects <br>• Work with a team to establish and achieve your sales targets and develop new business <br>• Work to grow your department and increase the profitability of the company as a whole <br><br>Customer Service <br>  <br>• Determine each client’s needs, extent of present coverage, and long-term needs to determine the best insurance products to meet their needs <br>• Review applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for accuracy, ensuring they are compliant with underwriting guidelines <br>• Calculate premiums and rates; apply payments and/or refunds <br>• Complete the binding, invoicing, premium collection, and file documentation of assigned accounts <br>• Process cancellations; proactively inquire and document reasons for cancellation <br>• Keep in touch with policy holders for changes, updates, new options, or problems with their coverage <br>• Consistently document activities and attach correspondences daily in Park’s broker management system <br>Autoplan <br><br>• Assist walk in and telephone clients for Auto Plan and Private Auto carriers <br>• Responsible for Autoplan renewals, new business, premium collection, cancellations and endorsements <br>• Assistance in ICBC batching and any other duties the Branch Manager sees fit <br><br>HOW YOU’LL DO IT <br>  <br>• Develop and maintain respectful, professional, and friendly working relationships with colleagues, company underwriters and anyone we do business with <br>• Actively listen to colleagues’ suggestions; contribute to team meetings <br>• Mentor others using your insurance expertise <br>• Update your personal lines insurance knowledge through continuing education <br>• Actively support Park’s participation in organizational culture, community events and industry events <br>• Embrace Park’s core values of: Passion, Happiness, Innovation and Teamwork <br><br><br>What We Offer <br><br>• 37.5 hours per week</p>\n<p>   (Monday-Friday 9-5 or 10-6, plus some Saturday's).   <br><br>• Competitive compensation<br><br>• Paid vacation <br><br>• Comprehensive medical plan (100%); Dental plan (80%), coverages include optometry, physiotherapy <br><br>• Health and Wellness program; 10 sick days; 2 personal days; 20-minutes per day for wellness activities such as walking or meditating <br><br>• Licensing fees are paid 100%; certification upgrades are paid 50% up front and remainder on successful completion <br><br>• Employee discounts on home and auto insurance <br><br>• Employee referral program <br><br>• Educational reimbursement program <br><br>• In-house education programs with a focus on personal development <br><br>• Emphasis on career growth with opportunities for advancement <br><br>• Positive, empowering, family atmosphere <br><br>• We will encourage and support your professional and personal development.<br><br><br></p>",
