The role requires frequent travel to various project sites across Alberta and Bristish Columbia. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Office address</strong>: </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>240 TaigaNova Crescent, Fort McMurray, AB T9K 0T4</p>\n<p>169 7th Street, Kitimat, BC V8C 2C4</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Start date: </strong>Work commencing in 2026.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Terms of Employment: </strong>Permanent, full time</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Wage:  </strong>Hourly wage rate of $51.50 to $57.62 CDN, depending on experience and relevant technical qualifications, straight time. Overtime of 1.5X is payable as per applicable provincial employment standards. Additional bonuses and premiums are payable for evening or night. Eligible for wage increases and bonuses at company’s discretion in accordance with company policy. Vacation pay is provided at a rate of 6%.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Language of work:  </strong>Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are a prerequisite</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>An IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician utilizes specialized knowledge of Rope Access Technology to manage the safety of crews engaged in rope access activities, to organize work functions specific to rope access jobs and to supervise crews engaged in performing a broad range of technical and/or industrial services at heights. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The role ensures individual and organizational compliance with IRATA standards and regulations to ensure the safe and effective performance of work.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician is responsible for safety management, work site organization and planning, and the supervision of others performing a variety of work while suspended from ropes.</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>IRATA Level 3 Certification required</li>\n <li>A thorough understanding of applicable rope access applications, and comprehensive knowledge of theory, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and hauling and advanced rescue techniques</li>\n <li>A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician working within a variety of industrial environments.</li>\n <li>Current first aid certification</li>\n <li>A valid drivers’ license is preferred</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively within a diverse team</li>\n <li>Ability to work productively in a variety of adverse conditions</li>\n <li>Physical and psychological fitness, with the ability to successfully submit to drug and alcohol testing on a random schedule</li>\n <li>Ability to comply with Acuren and/or client-required pandemic policies prior to employment and continued compliance with adaptive Acuren and/ or client pandemic policies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>**Please provide copeis of your certification with your application</p>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The strength of Tacten lies in its outstanding people.
