This position will report to the Color<a>&nbsp;</a>Manager.<br><br><strong>Job purpose</strong><br>In this role, the Scientist will lead the day-to-day operations to support the development of natural color solutions in alignment with business goals.<br>This role requires to conduct color sample preparation, experimental design, data analysis, analytical characterization and collaborate with cross-functional teams.<br><br><strong>Job responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Support the execution of research and development projects to explore and develop new and/or improved natural color solutions.</li><li>Carry out color development lab experiments (e.g. botanical extractions, natural product chemistry experiments etc), analyze data and effectively communicate results to team members.</li><li>Conduct routine color characterization experiments and measurements incl. UV-VIS spectrophotometry, colorimetry and shelf-life stability studies.</li><li>Keep detailed &nbsp;and accurate records of experiments in laboratory notebook or digital systems.</li><li>Maintain instrument performance logs and control charts. Write up equipment SOPs.</li><li>Maintain R&amp;D color lab equipment for day-to-day operations and comply with lab/workplace safety. Comply with local trainings and safety documentation.</li><li>Contribute to culture of excellent communication, information sharing, collaboration and relationships within and outside R&amp;D.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe and organized lab environment contributing to a positive team culture</li><li>Assist in training new team members and sharing best practices</li></ul><strong>Job specifications/qualifications</strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of industry experience in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science or related fields.</li><li>Knowledge of color science and color characterization techniques including UV-VIS spectrophotometry, colorimetry and shelf-life stability studies for food and beverage applications</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Familiarity with lab safety protocols and procedures</li><li>Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with team members with good communications skills.</li><li>Time management skills and ability to pay attention to details.</li><li>Experience working in accordance with good laboratory practices and adhere to safety standards and practices.</li><li>Proficient in standard computer programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint).</li><li>Proficient in scientific writing and data reporting for internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Ability to contribute in a dynamic and collaborative research environment</li></ul><div><div><div id=\"_com_1\" language=\"JavaScript\" '_com_1')\"'_anchor_1','_com_1')\"=\"\">Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
