Join us and let’s build excellence together.   </p>\n<p> This position collaborates with our estimating department and operational leaders to coordinate and perform major estimating functions for one or more disciplines (e.g., earthwork, utilities, drainage, asphalt paving, structural concrete, mechanical piping, building trades, site concrete, etc.).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role is on-site and requires working from the regional office.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsibilities: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, bid tabulations, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports and the job costs system into unit cost, man-hour and crew production figures. </li>\n <li>Reviews proposal specifications and drawings, prepares lists of bid items and quantities.  Attends pre-bid meetings and meets with owner to determine scope of work. </li>\n <li>Recommends vendors and subcontractors for the project; discusses and obtains appropriate quotations in coordination with the Purchasing Department. </li>\n <li>Interfaces with owner, architect/engineer and subcontractors to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs or coordinates quantity takeoff, assembles direct cost estimate and analyzes alternate construction methods to determine cost effectiveness.  </li>\n <li>Assists in the research of and cost estimates for alternate construction methods. </li>\n <li>Reviews design options and recommends best solution based on cost, value engineering or availability of materials. Also supports by estimating Estimates extra work items and change orders.  </li>\n <li>Assists in tracking awarded contracts as assigned through review of cost reports and discussions with Project Teams. </li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned including policing jobsites to maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workplace. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyzes and incorporates delay free systems into the preparation of the work plan of estimates/bids. </li>\n <li>Requires occasional day travel to deliver bids, attend pre-bid meetings, visit job sites and/or to attend conferences or training classes. </li>\n <li>Incorporates the Allan Myers Safety Program and associated costs into estimates. Identifies high-risk activities and coordinates with Safety Department to determine if additional costs are required. Transfers all safety information related to estimates to the Project Team.</li>\n <li>Conducts all work in accordance with Allan Myers policies, procedures, and programs.  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting related major, or equivalent.
