    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>We are seeking a 2nd shift detail oriented and reliable Mechanical Assembler responsible for the assembly and testing of enclosed drive gearboxes. This manufacturing role will consist of gear box assembly and subassemblies, as well as monitoring equipment and performing measurements, troubleshooting, and correcting errors. Experience with material traceability, batch production and mechanical aptitude will be a big plus in this role.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs gear box assembly and test</li>\n <li>Reads blueprints, calipers and other measuring instruments, records dimensions, and other details on production logs</li>\n <li>Cleans and maintains work area and equipment organized, including tools</li>\n <li>Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations</li>\n <li>Works with other facility teams (Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering) to ensure that assembly/test problems are addressed and resolved quickly</li>\n <li>Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Utilize safe work habits at all times</li>\n <li>Perform other work-related tasks as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly and testing areas</li>\n <li>Assist in identifying process improvements and contribute to team-based problem-solving</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with facility-specific safety protocols and product standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n <li>Minimum of 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly, industrial machinery assembly, or a related manufacturing role required</li>\n <li>Forklift operation experience required</li>\n <li>Material handling experience required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to pass a drug screen &amp; background check</li>\n <li>Must be able to read assembly blueprints in English format</li>\n <li>Must be willing and able to work overtime and occasional weekends as required</li>\n <li>Ability to solve practical problems and work with limited standardization</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of shop safety practices</li>\n <li>Understanding of quality assurance concepts, typically acquired through in-house training</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment</li>\n <li>Adaptability and willingness to be cross trained</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing setting</li>\n <li>Comfortable working in a factory environment with temperature variations</li>\n <li>Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and repetitive movements for up to 12 hours per day</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>COMPETITIVE BENEFITS</strong>&nbsp;(visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)</p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest</li>\n <li>Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
