Officers will be responsible for access control, patrols, surveillance, incident response, and maintaining a safe environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.\\r\\n\\r\\nKey Responsibilities\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\tAccess Control &amp; Surveillance\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\tMonitor and control entry points for employees, contractors, and visitors.\\r\\n\\t\\tOperate CCTV systems and conduct surveillance to detect and report suspicious activity.\\r\\n\\t\\tIssue visitor badges and maintain access logs.\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\tPatrol &amp; Incident Response\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\tConduct regular patrols of facilities, perimeters, and designated areas.\\r\\n\\t\\tRespond promptly to security and emergency incidents, including fire, theft, vandalism, trespass, and medical emergencies.\\r\\n\\t\\tCoordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\tAdministrative Duties\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\tPrepare daily activity and incident reports using automated reporting software.\\r\\n\\t\\tMaintain accurate records of security activities and incidents.\\r\\n\\t\\tParticipate in regular meetings with management to discuss security issues and improvements.\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nQualifications\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\tEducation &amp; Experience\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\tHigh school diploma or GED required.\\r\\n\\t\\tMinimum two (2) years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related field; experience with government agencies preferred.\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\tLicensure &amp; Screening\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\tValid security officer license (&ldquo;guard card&rdquo;) issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).\\r\\n\\t\\tFor armed positions: Exposed Firearms Permit and compliance with all relevant state regulations.\\r\\n\\t\\tCriminal background check through California DOJ and FBI.\\r\\n\\t\\tPre-employment drug screening and physical examination\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\tCertifications\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\tValid First Aid and CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\tSkills &amp; Competencies\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\tFluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); Spanish proficiency desirable.\\r\\n\\t\\tStrong judgment, professionalism, and ethical conduct.\\r\\n\\t\\tAbility to operate radios, computers, CCTV, and visitor management systems.\\r\\n\\t\\tPhysically fit for moderate to arduous duties; good vision and hearing required.\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nTraining\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\tCompletion of comprehensive security officer training program, including:\\r\\n\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\tDe-escalation, conflict resolution, and critical incident response.\\r\\n\\t\\tFirearms proficiency (for armed roles).\\r\\n\\t\\tHazardous materials awareness and safety procedures.\\r\\n\\t\\tEmergency evacuation and workplace violence prevention.\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\t\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nConduct &amp; Performance\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tMaintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.\\r\\n\\tAdhere to strict code of ethics and client policies.\\r\\n\\tPrompt and regular attendance; excellent record required.\\r\\n\\tAccurate and timely reporting of incidents and activities.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n&nbsp;\\r\\n\\r\\nWork Environment and Schedule\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tJob operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.\\r\\n\\tPosition requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.\\r\\n\\tOpen availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed(overtime occurs).\\r\\n\\tWork various shifts and Holidays as assigned.\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\nVeterans\\r\\n\\r\\nInter-Con is passionate about hiring veterans.
