Role Brief: We are looking for experienced, HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, or qualified Neurodiversity Practitioners to join our growing network of Associate clinicians. In this role you will deliver high-quality, neuroaffirmative Autism and ADHD identification assessments for children (aged 7+) and adults, as part of a multidisciplinary diagnostic team. Working on a flexible, self-employed basis, you will contribute to a service committed to transforming access to neurodiversity assessment across the UK, in line with NICE guidelines (NG142, NG228, NG87), DSM-5, and ICD-11 diagnostic frameworks. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, neuroaffirmative Autism and ADHD identification assessments for children (aged 7+) and adults, utilising gold-standard tools including ADOS-2 and ADI-R within a multidisciplinary diagnostic pathway. Conduct initial Neurodiversity Consultations and deliver sensitive, neuroaffirmative feedback sessions, exploring presenting concerns and communicating outcomes in a collaborative and person-centred manner. Complete biopsychosocial and multidisciplinary formulations, identifying and communicating relevant reasonable accommodations across educational, workplace and community settings. Produce high-quality written assessment reports presenting complex clinical information in a clear, accessible and strengths-based manner for individuals, families and professional stakeholders. Collaborate closely with psychologists and fellow MDT colleagues to ensure integrated, person-centred assessment formulations. Undertake risk screening and safeguarding assessments in line with UK legislation and organisational procedures, with particular attention to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Maintain accurate and contemporaneous case notes and records in line with HCPC standards and UK GDPR requirements. Requirements: Degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, or an equivalent neurodiversity-focused qualification recognised by HCPC Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Current registration with the relevant professional body:  Occupational Therapists: Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) Speech and Language Therapists: Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) Current, valid Enhanced DBS certificate (on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance (minimum £2 million cover) Registration with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) Minimum 2 years post-HCPC registration experience, including neurodiversity assessment experience Formal training and demonstrated competence in ADOS-2 and ADI-R administration and interpretation Experience delivering remote/virtual assessments to children (7+) and/or adults Experience producing comprehensive neurodiversity assessment reports, including recommendations and reasonable accommodations Experience providing post-diagnostic feedback to individuals and families Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary assessment team Strong knowledge of NICE guidelines (NG142, NG228, NG87), DSM-5 and ICD-11 diagnostic criteria relevant to Autism and ADHD Knowledge of co-occurring conditions (e.g. anxiety, learning disabilities, developmental trauma) and their interaction with neurodevelopmental presentations Knowledge of safeguarding and risk frameworks relevant to children, young people and adults in the UK Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and its application to reasonable adjustments Confidence working in an online/digital format Ability to work independently and manage own caseload and administration as a self-employed practitioner Desirable: Experience assessing combined AuDHD presentations Experience adapting assessments for individuals with co-occurring intellectual disabilities, sensory needs or complex communication profiles Experience of consultation and training on neurodiversity to families, schools or other professionals Experience working across NHS and independent sector pathways What are the benefits of working at SPECTRUM.LIFE?
