About The Division The Property Tax Assistance Division (PTAD) provides technical assistance to local governments and taxpayers on property tax issues but does not grant jurisdiction to intervene in local tax matters. PTAD is split into four areas, allowing the Division to offer technical assistance and implement statutory requirements in many innovative ways. This role performs journey-level appraisal work. Work involves conducting property value ratio studies, gathering property sales information, and conducting various property appraisals. Represents the Property Tax Division in formal and informal appeals. Works within a multiple-county-region under the direction of supervisor and lead appraiser.
