This position is a mission critical role within the organization, supporting the One Hanford mission.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold\">Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Business Understanding: Thoroughly understand business concerns and objectives, including system functional, non-functional, performance, reliability, security, and growth requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Data Solution Architecture Design: Design and review data solutions to ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards. Provide detailed rationale for architectural decisions to ensure all stakeholders understand and agree with the proposed solutions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Solution Architecture Review: Conduct comprehensive reviews of solution architectures against specified requirements, perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation strategies as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Technology Assessment: Evaluate and propose new technologies and assess the current technology environment to understand limitations and constraints, and facilitate the selection of appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Architecture Definition and Compliance: Assist with defining and establish architecture solutions that comply with organizational policies, compliance requirements, and industry standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Data Movement and Accessibility: Plan data movement through systems, ensuring accessibility and compliance with data privacy laws and accessibility standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Artificial Intelligence: Design data solutions which are compatible with various AI engines to support AI related functions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Component Integration: Detail interactions and integrations of solution components with other systems and services to ensure seamless operation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Security and Recovery: Design solutions with robust security measures and data backup/recovery mechanisms to ensure business continuity.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Maintainability and Uptime: Ensure solutions are maintainable, have high uptime, and are easy to modify and update.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Communication and Coordination: Establish clear communication and coordination among stakeholders, developers, and teams to drive change. Provide regular updates and checkpoints to ensure alignment and smooth implementation of new opportunities and process adaptations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Provide technical guidance, support &amp; mentoring for data-related projects across the organization.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Implement and maintain data security protocols and ensure data privacy and compliance with policy &amp; regulation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Establish and enforce best practices for data management and governance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Perform other duties as appropriate and as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold\">Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">In-depth understanding of database structure principles.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Expertise with enterprise data management in SQL, Oracle, or other industry standard databases.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Experience with data visualization, data migration and data modeling.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Proven analytical skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Able to analyze client’s needs, and design solutions to solve the defined problem.
