Job Title: Journeyman Plumber Department: Construction Reports To: Chief Construction Officer Full Time/Part Time: Full Time Limited to current TOKA employees only:  No Job Summary: The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in new construction, rehabilitation, and renovation projects managed by the TOKA Construction Division. This role involves interpreting blueprints, planning pipe layouts, installing fixtures, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, and collaborating with other trades to ensure the timely and accurate completion of construction projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures for new home construction and remodeling projects. Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and materials required for plumbing systems. Identify and procure required tools, equipment, and plumbing materials for each project. Mark and prepare locations for pipe, fixture, and equipment installation. Install supports and hangers for piping and fixtures. Assemble and install piping systems, valves, fittings, water heaters, tubs, sinks, toilets, appliances, and other plumbing fixtures. Test systems for leaks, pressure, and overall performance to ensure compliance with code. Apply and adhere to all building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, material usage, and inspections. Work in collaboration with general contractors, electricians, HVAC specialists, and other trades to meet project milestones. Maintain a safe and clean job site and observe proper disposal procedures for materials and debris. Follow all TOKA and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned in writing. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position holds no supervisory responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Journeyman Plumber certification OR minimum of 5 years of verifiable plumbing experience in a construction environment. Valid Arizona Driver’s License; no DUI violations within the past 3 years. Working knowledge of current plumbing and building codes and safety regulations. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work in various weather and site conditions. Proficient in using construction and plumbing tools and equipment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in tribal housing construction projects. Familiarity with HUD, NAHASDA, or low-income housing development guidelines.
