    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">Under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse and Nurse Manager, the Patient Care Assistant helps prepare patients for surgery and assists them after surgery. This includes but is not limited to:&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: 0.5in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">• Help patients to the bathroom</span></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: 0.5in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">• Room patients when they arrive and on discharge to home, transports patients to their car&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">• Wipe down equipment and carts, sets up rooms for next patient and wipes down surgical carts after each use&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: 0.5in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">• Collect patient data including vital signs and weights&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: 0.5in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">• Perform glucose testing and shaving as needed&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; text-indent: 0.5in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">• Restock area with supplies&nbsp;</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in 0.5in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">• Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities.</span></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;\">Work Schedule: 0.5 FTE; 20 hrs weekly, Weekday shifts.
