Description

Description Primary Duties And Responsibilities The Telemetry Tech/Clerical Coordinator (CC/TT) II is responsible for monitoring electrocardiogram and SPO2 measurements constantly for designated patients and informing the RN of changes. Maintains and checks monitoring equipment daily. Works as a part of the patient care team to maintain organization within the clinical station, answer telephones and patient call lights promptly, assist patients, hospital visitors and members of the healthcare team. Performs clerical functions including organizing the clinical station, tracking equipment inventory, and monitoring electronic orders. Notifies Charge nurse of new admits and maintains census record. Participates in Swap Shifts to ensure skill competency. Performs other duties as assigned. Trains and supports new hires and is utilized as an expert in Telemetry. Participates on a Hoag Committee Council and Unit Practice Council. Assists in either a Clinical Ladder Improvement project or department-specific project as assigned by department leader. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of basic arrhythmia course and successfully passed ECG test required. Either 1 year of CC/TT Experience or has attended at least 1 semester of Nursing School and remains in a nursing program. Completion of a Clerical Coordinator course including medical terminology preferred.
