We specialise in delivering high-impact data solutions across Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Governance, Cloud Data Platforms, and Advanced Analytics.</p>\n<p>Headquartered in Sydney with offices across the UK, Europe, and APAC, Billigence partners with organisations to design and implement modern data platforms that drive better decision-making and measurable business outcomes.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the role:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are supporting a large global organisation as it strengthens its data governance and data management capabilities and are seeking an experienced Data Governance Consultant to help design and implement governance practices across key procurement data domains, including supplier management, price modelling, and ERP-related procurement data.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role combines strategic governance expertise with hands-on delivery, working closely with business stakeholders to establish clear data ownership, stewardship, and operational governance processes while improving overall data maturity. The engagement will focus on defining governance structures, enabling business data ownership, and ensuring critical procurement data assets are properly documented, governed, and monitored. As part of this work, you will also support the documentation and management of procurement data within the organisation’s enterprise data catalogue (Ataccama), ensuring metadata, business definitions, and governance artefacts are captured and maintained in line with enterprise standards.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you'll do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a detailed delivery plan, including timelines, responsibilities, and key milestones following discovery and requirements gathering during the early stages of the engagement</li>\n<li>Support the design of a central data capability within Procurement, helping define key roles required to support ongoing data maturity and governance</li>\n<li>Establish a Procurement Data Governance framework, identifying and onboarding Data Owners and Data Stewards across critical data domains</li>\n<li>Prioritise governance across key datasets including supplier portal and supplier master data, price modelling data, and procurement data within ERP environments</li>\n<li>Document key data assets to support population of the enterprise data catalogue</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain business glossaries, data definitions, and governance artefacts aligned with enterprise standards</li>\n<li>Define business and data quality rules for monitoring based on operational processes and catalogue standards</li>\n<li>Identify and implement data quality monitoring mechanisms</li>\n<li>Support the training and onboarding of Data Owners and Data Stewards to embed governance practices within Procurement teams</li>\n<li>Ensure all outputs align with the organisation's enterprise data governance framework and associated standards</li>\n<li>Support change management and adoption, working closely with business stakeholders to embed sustainable governance processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you'll need</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience delivering Data Governance or Data Management programmes within complex organisations</li>\n<li>Experience establishing Data Ownership and Data Stewardship frameworks</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of data governance operating models within functions such as Procurement, Supply Chain, or Finance</li>\n<li>Experience working with enterprise data catalogues and metadata management tools</li>\n<li>Experience defining data quality frameworks, business rules, and monitoring processes</li>\n<li>Strong experience documenting business glossaries, data definitions, and governance artefacts</li>\n<li>Ability to engage with business, data, and technology stakeholders to drive governance adoption</li>\n<li>Experience working within enterprise data governance frameworks and standards</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Inclusion and equal opportunities</span></p>\n<p>We are an equal-opportunity and inclusive employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all applicants and employees.
