    "description": "<p>Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span> Inventory Control Specialist.</span></span> </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. This position is located in our San Diego, CA-Otay Mesa location and reports to the<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Material Manager</span>.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span> Managing inventory items, controlling day-to-day inventory operations, and implementing inventory control protocols.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintaining and improving the company's inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics to determine which products are selling and which are not.</li>\n<li>Allocating inventory to the correct departments as it comes into the warehouse and arranging for pickups and shipments.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate and follow up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of materials and services.</li>\n<li>Manage inventory levels to avoid over or under stocking and minimize cash requirements.</li>\n<li>Coordinate with the Stock Operations Manager to ensure adequate storage for incoming materials<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through\">.</span></li>\n<li>Assist with Receiving and Logistics teams to ensure products are received and shipped within a 24-hour time period.</li>\n<li>Assist with maintaining accuracy and completeness of inventory data within QuickBooks.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Creating and maintaining inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: </span></p>\n<p>Other duties as assigned</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Education and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inventory management: 2 years</li>\n<li>Impeccable attention to detail</li>\n<li>Continual improvement focused</li>\n<li>Ability to organize and handle multiple, concurrent tasks</li>\n<li>Solid decision-making skills</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills including the ability to interface will all aspects of daily operations: design, operations, production, sales, customer service, management, financial and quality.</li>\n<li>Strong capability with MS Office Suite, including capability with creating, editing and maintaining complex Excel spreadsheets.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as: safety rules, company policy and procedure instructions, business periodicals, professional journals and technical or government regulations/reports.</li>\n<li>Ability to write general business correspondence.</li>\n<li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and employees.</li>\n<li>Ability to apply mathematical concepts to ensure work within budgeting requirements.</li>\n<li>Work independently to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where no standardization may exist, and subsequently define that standardization for Rock West Composites.</li>\n<li>Ability to interpret and provide a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of lean manufacturing and/or quality principals.</li>\n<li> US.
