This senior-level role blends <b>technical leadership, project delivery, marketing, proposal development, and business development</b>, and is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be a motivated self‑starter who can work independently while also leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Michael Baker’s local and national offices.</p>\n<p><b>What You’ll Do:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Drive <b>business development and client engagement</b> with Los Angeles–area agencies and key clients</li>\n <li><span>Provide <b>technical leadership and strategic oversight</b> for the CEQA/NEPA process through regulatory project approvals.&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li>Support and lead <b>marketing and proposal pursuits</b> in coordination with local and national teams</li>\n <li>Provide leadership and mentorship to <b>10-15 staff members</b></li>\n <li>Coordinate project delivery efforts with environmental, planning, and technical teams across Michael Baker offices</li>\n <li>Represent Michael Baker at <b>client meetings, public hearings, community outreach, and stakeholder engagements</b></li>\n <li><b>Actively engage in industry events and leadership</b></li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>What You Need to Succeed:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in <b>Environmental Science, Biology, Planning, Ecology</b>, or a related field</li>\n <li><b>15+ years of experience preferred</b> (candidates with fewer years but exceptional qualifications will be considered)</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of the <b>Los Angeles market</b>, with existing agency and/or client relationships preferred</li>\n <li>Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders</li>\n <li>Excellent <b>written, verbal, and analytical communication skills</b></li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a <b>multi‑disciplinary team environment</b></li>\n <li>Demonstrated commitment to producing <b>high‑quality work</b> and quickly adapting to company policies, procedures, and tools</li>\n <li>Valid <b>driver’s license</b> and access to reliable transportation</li>\n <li><b>Flexible work schedule</b>, supporting a hybrid work environment and work‑life balance with ability to be in the Los Angeles office and/or Long Beach office</li>\n <li>Ability to travel locally throughout <b>Los Angeles County</b> for meetings, project support, outreach, and public hearings</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Compensation:</b></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:27pt\">The approximate compensation range for this position&nbsp;$210,000 – 275,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
