They must comply with local building codes, and health and safety regulations. The Carpenter reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lay out flooring, roofing or drywall ensuring they are level and compatible.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them where designated.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Build scaffolding and other construction structures.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Minimum Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">At least three (3) years of carpentry, construction, and hardware experience.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Must have experience installing doors and hardware on commercial construction projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Good communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of basic mathematics.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to take accurate measurements using and reading tape measures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to read and interpret blueprints.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment safely.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Baldwin &amp; Shell standards and processes.</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Preferred Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Experience in commercial construction.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of the employee's activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this job.
