He/she is also responsible for assisting the cashier in the collection of payment for all guest transactions.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>In addition to travel discounts at our hotels, Highgate offers competitive benefits, including three pricing tiers of medical coverage, as well as Dental and Vision benefits to eligible full-time associates. All associates accrue paid sick leave in accordance with the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. Paid time off plans may also be available to associates who qualify. The Retirement 401(k) Program is open to both full-time and part-time associates who qualify. Applications will be accepted between 3/10-5/15</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Be attentive of guests’ needs assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.</li>\n <li>Assist cashier in collection of money or credit cards from guests and servers as needed.</li>\n <li>Know how to prepare cashier report at the end of the shift.</li>\n <li>Pay out servers’ and service attendants’ tips if appropriate.</li>\n <li>Know how to properly take reservations for outlets.</li>\n <li>Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance.</li>\n <li>Perform opening and closing duties according to established sidework checklist.</li>\n <li>Have a complete knowledge of standards of service for receiving a room service order.</li>\n <li>Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable departments.</li>\n <li>Assist servers and cashiers in the servicing of guests as needed.</li>\n <li>Know and understand the state liquor laws.</li>\n <li>Ensure overall guest satisfaction.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.</li>\n <li>Flexible and long hours sometimes required.</li>\n <li>Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand during entire shift.</li>\n <li>Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.</li>\n <li>Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.</li>\n <li>Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.</li>\n <li>Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.</li>\n <li>Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.</li>\n <li>Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.</li>\n <li>Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.</li>\n <li>Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.</li>\n <li>Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as requested by management.</li>\n <li>Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
