          "text": "<p><strong>Responsibilities of the Assistant Principal of Culture will include, but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>School Culture</strong></p><ul><li><p>Work closely with Principal to establish a positive, structured, and achievement-oriented school culture</p></li><li><p>Facilitate teacher training and support around discipline, relationships, expectations, consistency, and management</p></li><li><p>Coordinate and implement a school-wide discipline system with meaningful incentives and consequences</p></li><li><p>Serve as the point person for discipline/culture issues as well as specific behavioral intervention plans</p></li><li><p>Assist teachers, students, and parents in the creation and implementation of support plans for individual students</p></li><li><p>Monitor behavioral pull-out, in-school suspensions, out of-school suspensions, and suspension parent re-entry meetings</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate student discipline records; document all conferences, suspensions, and phone calls for behavior</p></li><li><p>Plan, lead and oversee an effective Tier I, Tier II and Tier III behavioral culture and RTI-B process</p></li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement and Management</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead recognition assemblies, parent workshops, community events, and other culture-building activities</p></li><li><p>Support teachers in building relationships with students and parents; implement parental involvement plan</p></li><li><p>Communicate clearly and promptly with teachers, families, and students when discipline issues occur</p></li><li><p>Ensure that the physical environment of the school reinforces school culture and facilitates student achievement</p></li><li><p>Conduct regular school culture walkthroughs, classroom observations and audits to help staff maintain a high bar of excellence</p></li><li><p>Lead weekly behavior analysis meetings with each grade level</p></li><li><p>Provide ongoing coaching and development to teachers</p></li><li><p>Plan and lead ongoing student culture professional development throughout the year</p></li><li><p>Manage and coach Behavior Support Specialist(s) and School Counselor(s)</p></li><li><p>Conduct and monitor the successful implementation of 504 Plans, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans</p></li><li><p>Facilitate Support Team Meetings to ensure intervention plans are created for students who need additional behavioral support</p></li><li><p>Track and report student behavior to charter authorizers through Infinite Campus, Illuminate, DeansList, and PowerSchool for KIPP and other regional level reports&#xa0;</p></li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><p><strong>Growth Mindset</strong></p><ul><li><p>Model school core values and character strengths at all times</p></li><li><p>Willing to offer support and receive constructive feedback from colleagues in order to create a professional working atmosphere that is conducive to change and improvement</p></li><li><p>Participate in regional cohort session, school-wide and individual professional development, including pre-service training over the summer and weekly during the academic year</p></li></ul></li></ul><ul><li><p><strong>Other</strong></p><ul><li><p>Supervise school entry, breakfast, lunch, transitions, and dismissal to ensure they are orderly and positive</p></li><li><p>Lead efforts to ensure all students have excellent attendance and arrive at school on time</p></li><li><p>Lead efforts to ensure all students have excellent homework completion and that homework is checked efficiently</p></li><li><p>Ensure effective field lessons, school events, and extracurricular activities</p></li></ul></li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><ul><li><p>Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience, and includes benefits. This position is exempt and will work and be compensated according to a 12 month administrative schedule.</p></li><li><p>Robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance policy options. Application for these benefits may be made immediately upon employment. The policy is effective upon the first of the month following the first day of work.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Certificated staff have access to the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System pension plan(TCRS). Eligible employees contribute 5% and KIPP matches up to 6.81%. Employees may also be eligible for 401k in which KIPP will contribute 5%.</p></li><li><p>The vacation package for salaried employees includes 29 paid days throughout the 10 month work schedule(including holidays, fall break, thanksgiving break, winter break) as well as summer break. In addition employees in this role are allotted 6 PTO days as well as 10 additional days to take during the summer break.&#xa0; Employees are allotted an additional 2 days after every 2 consecutive years of employment.
