Are you a dynamic leader with a flair for securing transformative gifts and driving philanthropic success? Do you excel at building strategic relationships and rallying communities around a shared mission? If so, we have the ideal role for you!
The Role: Director of Philanthropy
Step into a pivotal leadership position where you'll spearhead major gift fundraising programs and initiatives that propel our Ministry forward. Collaborate closely with hospital leadership to craft compelling giving opportunities, working seamlessly with our Foundation's Fundraising Team to prioritize strategic objectives and nurture a robust pipeline of donor prospects. Donor Engagement Maestro: Employ a systematic approach to identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors, ensuring that fundraising metrics are met annually, including securing pivotal gifts and net letters of intent supporting key priorities. Visionary Leadership: Design a strategic fundraising plan that empowers your team to achieve major and capital philanthropic initiatives. Personalized Gift Management: Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, personally soliciting gifts and pledges of $25,000 over five years. Event Leadership: Oversee events that align with the Ministry’s philanthropic ambitions and cultivate donor relationships.
Community Advocate: Actively engage with the community to elevate awareness of the Ministry’s charitable mission and philanthropic goals. Analytical Insight: Prepare financial and analytical reports on fundraising outcomes and trends, driving informed decision-making. Professional Networking: Maintain strong connections with community organizations and institutions impacting healthcare development programs.
What You’ll Bring:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college. Master’s Degree preferred. Certification: Upon hire, Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred. Experience: A proven track record of 8 years in non-profit with a focus on major giving and 5 years of leadership experience, ideally in larger institutions. Expertise: 3 years of senior-level fundraising experience within large, complex organizations, with success in closing six-figure gifts. Strategic Planning: Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing a fundraising strategic plan that consistently meets goals. Technical Proficiency: Experience with fundraising donor management software and adeptness in managing revenue and expense budgets to align with program objectives. Leadership Collaboration: Skilled in designing fundraising strategic plans in partnership with organizational leadership.
