He/she is responsible for stocking and maintaining inventory levels, controlling expenses, shortages, and all aspects of merchandising and inventory control. He/she is responsible for maintaining excellent housekeeping procedures during stocking of store.</p><p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>* Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.</p><ul><li>Implement and maintain customer service standards.</li><li>Maintain all merchandising standards, display presentation and monitor inventory levels.</li><li>Ensure housekeeping policies are maintained during stocking procedures.</li><li>Maintain adherence to all company policies and procedures, emphasizing loss prevention and safety.</li><li>Any other duties as assigned by management.</li><li>Able to efficiently use a box knife.</li><li>Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all grocery store floor areas.</li></ul><p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p><ul><li>Perform other duties and projects as required by management.</li></ul><p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p><ul><li>Ability to communicate with associates and customers.</li><li>Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.</li><li>Ability to freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area, and register area.</li><li>Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to perform his/her duties.</li><li>Sitting or standing for long periods of time, occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping, good finger dexterity and feeling, frequent repetitive motions, talking, hearing, visual acuity, and climbing ladders.</li><li>Ability to move or transfer merchandise throughout the store generally weighing zero to one hundred pounds.</li><li>Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.</li><li>Any other duties as assigned by store director.</li></ul><p>WORKING CONDITIONS:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Normal grocery environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Note</strong>: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by an employee in this position.
