    "description": "<p><strong>THE ROLE</strong><br />\r\n<br />\r\nGotham Greens is seeking a passionate, driven and hardworking individual to work as our Packhouse Operator in our Packhouse. Packhouse Operators are hands-on and require individuals who enjoy rolling up their sleeves and are accustomed to manual labor-intensive jobs.<br />\r\n<br />\r\nPrior experience in the natural and organic food industry is a plus but not required. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organized individual to assume a position at a rapidly growing, innovative, disruptive company in the 21st century food system.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><br />\r\n<strong>WHAT YOU&#39;LL DO</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Start up and shutdown of Denester, Scales, Tray Sealer, Metal Detector, Check Weigher, and Labeler.</li>\r\n\t<li>Basic troubleshooting of all unit ops incorporated in the packaging line</li>\r\n\t<li>Completing all Operator GFSI task and documentation.</li>\r\n\t<li>Giving direction to PAs working on the Multivac line.</li>\r\n\t<li>Minimize downtime during breakdowns, and changeovers.</li>\r\n\t<li>Track line KPIs (Startup time, Ramp up time, Quality Rejects, etc.</li>\r\n\t<li>Change film, labels, and ribbons.</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform standard Packhouse Production Assistant duties as needed (see below)</li>\r\n\t<li>Stock Raw Materials after shut down and as needed.</li>\r\n\t<li>Basic sanitation task as needed to keep equipment clean and operational.</li>\r\n\t<li>Basic troubleshooting of equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Communicate clearly and operate the line with a sense of urgency.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>In addition to the specific Machine Operator duties, the individual may also have PH PA duties which will include:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Packing containers of fresh leafy greens and herbs.</li>\r\n\t<li>Identifying unacceptable quality product to discard</li>\r\n\t<li>Sorting and selecting high quality product to pack</li>\r\n\t<li>Filling containers to an accurate weight using scales</li>\r\n\t<li>Properly handling product and containers to maximize shelf life and appearance to the company&#39;s expectations</li>\r\n\t<li>Performing repetitive tasks at a consistent pace which meets productivity expectations</li>\r\n\t<li>Labelling, boxing, and staging product materials and supplies</li>\r\n\t<li>Handling, organizing, and loading production supplies and equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Assisting with inventory control and cold storage organization</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist with daily cleaning of production areas, equipment, and supplies</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist with periodic cleaning of common areas in facility</li>\r\n\t<li>Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), company food safety policies, company employee safety policies, and sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs).</li>\r\n\t<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><br />\r\n<strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Authorized to work in the US</li>\r\n\t<li>Able to lift 50 pounds</li>\r\n\t<li>Able to stand for a full 8-hour shift</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintain a steady pace with attention to detail</li>\r\n\t<li>Must have a reliable form of transportation</li>\r\n\t<li>Open availability to work various work schedules including holidays and weekends</li>\r\n\t<li>Must be able to work in 55 degree temperatures</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><br />\r\n<strong>WHO WE ARE</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p>Gotham Greens is an indoor farming company and a fresh food brand on a mission to transform the way we approach our food system, putting people and the planet at the forefront.
