FRIENDS’ person-centered approach ensures that people are receiving the services they need to gain independence and truly be part of their community. </p>\n<p> FRIENDS offers competitive salaries and benefits, including health, vision and dental insurance, life insurance, 401-K retirement program, employee assistance program, paid time off,  sick time, paid holidays, and bereavement leave.</p>\n<p>The staff who work in FRIENDS Day Program have the unique and incredible opportunity to enrich the daily life of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our staff  provide individualized support and training to assist adults with IDD in building new skills and accessing a variety of social, recreation, leisure, and volunteer opportunities within the community as well as activities in our state-of-the-art building. FRIENDS offers different activities and classes each day of the week that are based on the interest, goals and choices of the adults who attend the program. The staff are instrumental in providing these learning opportunities and taking small groups to different activities in the community.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties/Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p>The staff who work in the  FRIENDS Day Program are responsible for a variety of duties related to the overall wellbeing and independence of adults with a wide range of abilities. Each day, the staff will help to increase their  independence by providing training and assistance on individualized goals and objectives in a supportive and positive learning environment. The staff will support the health, safety and an active lifestyle of each person served. Duties include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help individuals obtain and maintain daily living skills and work toward their fullest potential to foster independence.</li>\n<li>Provide services and support to adults with developmental disabilities including assistance with activities of daily living, toileting and feeding.</li>\n<li>Provide hands-on support for therapeutic activities.</li>\n<li>Work with individuals in small groups to develop skills and engage them in meaningful activities.</li>\n<li>Ensure health, safety and welfare of people according to procedures, individualized plans and protocols.</li>\n<li>Help develop relationships with members of the community through a variety of activities and classes.</li>\n<li>Effective communication with team and collaborating about classes, and community activities.</li>\n<li>Provide transportation using FRIENDS of Broomfield fleet of minibuses and vans.</li>\n<li>Maintain cleanliness and safety of the facility.</li>\n<li>Work productively and cooperatively as a member of a team.</li>\n<li>Complete daily documentation and progress notes using Therap.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of college are preferred.</li>\n<li>At least 1 years’ experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.</li>\n<li>Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to meet FRIENDS driving requirements.</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.</li>\n<li>Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force; physical condition to enable walking, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; stamina to be on feet and active for full workdays; ability to speak or exchange information in</li>\n<li>an audible manner.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours:</span> Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Classification:</span> Full Time/ Non-Exempt</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pay:</span> $19.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on experience</p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span>  Health, vision, and dental insurance, life and accident insurance, PTO, six paid sick days, eight paid holidays, 401(k) match, paid training</p>\n<p> </p>",
