    "description": "<p><strong>FLSA Status:</strong> Nonexempt, Part-Time</p>\n\n<h3>Position Summary</h3>\n\n<p>The Group Exercise Instructor leads safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes that support the YMCA’s mission and promote healthy living for all.</p>\n\n<h3>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h3>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Lead group exercise classes in accordance with YMCA standards</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Demonstrate proper technique and offer modifications for all fitness levels</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Create a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Ensure participant safety and follow YMCA policies and procedures</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Arrive prepared and on time for all scheduled classes</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Report incidents, injuries, or equipment issues to the supervisor</p>\n\t</li>\n</ul>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>\n\t<h4>Child Abuse Prevention language:</h4>\n\n\t<h4>Employees and volunteers who directly supervise consumers will:</h4>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.</li>\n\t<li>Attend required abuse risk management training.</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<h4>Employees and volunteers who do not directly supervise consumers will:</h4>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers.</li>\n\t<li>Attend required abuse risk management training.</li>\n\t<li>Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.</li>\n\t<li>Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.</li>\n\t<li>Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities.\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li>Maintenance employees and volunteers—ensure unused rooms and closets remain locked; routinely monitor high-risk locations (locker-rooms and bathrooms), etc.</li>\n\t\t<li>Front desk personnel—ensure consumers are properly signed in and signed out,ensures only authorized adults are allowed in the facility, etc.</li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers.</li>\n\t<li>Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.</li>\n\t<li>Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.</li>\n</ul>",
