The $80 million non-profit performing arts organization has three divisions: TMC Arts, TMC Ops and TMC Business Services. TMC Arts, The Music Center&rsquo;s programming engine, provides year-round programming inside The Music Center&rsquo;s four theatres&mdash;Walt Disney Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Ahmanson Theatre and Mark Taper Forum&mdash;as well as on Jerry Moss Plaza, at Gloria Molina Grand Park, and in schools and neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County. TMC Ops manages the theatres, Jerry Moss Plaza and Gloria Molina Grand Park, which comprise $3 billion in county assets, on behalf of the County of Los Angeles. TMC Business Services includes Advancement, Human Resources, Finance, Tech Services, and Marketing and Communications.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">The Music Center is also home to four renowned resident companies&mdash;Center Theatre Group, Los Angeles Master Chorale, LA Opera and LA Phil.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\">The Music Center currently seeks Theatre Ushers for performances and events. &nbsp;Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, Theatre Ushers welcome, seat and assist guests in the theater auditoriums. &nbsp; The Guest Services Department ensures the safety and enjoyment of The Music Center guest experience. &nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><strong><u>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</u></strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Seat guests in theatre auditoriums and lecture halls</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Answer guest inquires accurately and politely&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Scan or tear check tickets at theater entrances&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Direct paths of travel for guests attending events</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Inspect theaters for safety hazards</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Operate 2-way radios</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Place signage, stanchions and program carts</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Assist other departments when necessary and as directed by a supervisor</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Respond to a wide range of customer service issues with sensitivity and care</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Additional responsibilities may include assisting senior individuals or individuals with disabilities into the theatre and/or to their seats</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">General duties as assigned</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Maintain clean uniforms and adhere to grooming standards</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Regular attendance and punctuality</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Maintain clean and safe workplace environment for employees and guests</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Prior customer service experience preferred</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Excellent oral and written communication skills</li></ul><ul><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred. &nbsp;In some circumstances, students still actively in school with valid work permits will be considered</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Guest service mentality; friendly, respectful, courteous</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Multi-lingual capabilities welcomed</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><strong><u>Physical Requirements:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Bend, stand and walk for up to duration of entire work shift</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Lift and carry up to 20 pounds &nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-size: 24px;\">Stand for required time frame during work shift&nbsp;</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><strong>Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>Required to have availability to work 5 shifts per week, including matinees, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended post-performance activities.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><strong>Hourly Pay Rate:&nbsp;</strong>$17.87.
