You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for on-road testing and deployment.<br><br><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br><br>- Perform vehicle diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance<br>- Execute high-quality repairs according to work instructions and OEM standards<br>- Conduct multi-point inspections and system checks to ensure vehicle safety and reliability<br>- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hybrid, and high-voltage vehicle systems<br>- Configure, maintain, diagnose, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation<br>- Inspect and test completed repairs as part of Quality Control (QC) procedures<br>- Escalate advanced technical issues to engineering teams when necessary<br>- Document repairs, findings, diagnostics, and service reports in specialized service platforms<br>- Support fleet readiness, workshop operations, and maintenance optimization initiatives<br>- Maintain tools, equipment, parts inventory, and organized shop facilities<br>- Follow OSHA, safety, hazardous waste, and PPE compliance standards<br>- Travel locally as needed to support fleet operations and vehicle deployments<br><br><b>Required Qualifications</b><br><br>- 5+ years of automotive technician, fleet maintenance, or diagnostic repair experience<br>- Extensive knowledge of automotive systems, repair methods, tools, and diagnostics<br>- Strong experience with vehicle troubleshooting, inspections, and preventative maintenance<br>- Experience working with hybrid drivetrains, HV systems, HVAC, chassis, cooling, and suspension systems<br>- Knowledge of CAN/LIN systems, embedded modules, and vehicle sensor systems<br>- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Linux-based systems<br>- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license<br>- Strong written and verbal communication skills<br>- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment<br>- Reliable, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong problem-solving skills<br><br><b>Preferred Qualifications</b><br><br>- ASE Certification and/or manufacturer certification<br>- Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in Automotive Technology<br>- Experience supporting autonomous vehicle (AV) fleets or advanced mobility platforms<br>- Familiarity with self-driving systems and sensor stacks<br>- Experience optimizing fleet maintenance operations and OEM service processes<br>- Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally<br><br><b>Ideal Candidate</b><br><br>The ideal candidate is a hands-on automotive professional with advanced diagnostic capabilities and experience supporting fleet operations, vehicle testing, and engineering-focused maintenance environments.
