Counselors provide alcohol and/or opioid use treatment, support, resources, and education to patients, family members, and the community. This individual will advocate for and offer a coordinated effort to support the patient in meeting their individual treatment goals. This position requires compassionate service in an environment committed to learning and growth alongside a dedicated team having a positive impact on patient experience.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><br>This is a full-time benefits eligible position.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Duties and Responsibilities</span>:</span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provide high quality, compassionate care through various mediums in collaboration with the Program Clinical Supervisor and Director.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provides high quality, compassionate individual, group and family counseling for patients, families and the community; facilitating or co-facilitating assigned groups and/or family sessions as needed.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provides compassionate bio-psycho-social services that demonstrates respect to patients, patient families and the community.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Ensures all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents are completed in a timely and clear/concise manner in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Prepares individual treatment plans for each assigned patient. Formulates initial/follow-up assessments and aftercare for all assigned patients.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Evaluates and educates based upon patient needs and determines if referrals to other programs and/or facilities are needed for patients and family/significant others in a therapeutic milieu setting.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provides crisis intervention to patients, as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Provides case management duties for patients, ensuring individualized quality of care as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Participates in weekly clinical staff meetings with other members of the patient team to review patient progress and service requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Collaborate with other staff, medical agencies/providers, and community outreach to provide appropriate support and presence for individual treatment progress.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Follows all policies and procedures regarding patient information protection, including alcohol drug patient confidentiality (42 CFR) and HIPAA (45 CFR).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Perform other related duties as required or assigned</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Education and Experience Required</span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Must be a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or preferably a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the State of Maine.<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Bachelor's degree in a relatable field is preferred<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Current basic life support (BLS)<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Experience working with Tribal Communities preferred</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">  </span></p>\n<ul></ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Skills and Qualifications Required</span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">Willingness to travel to and perform duties at other Wabanaki Center for Healing and Recovery locations, as needed.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">Possess a basic knowledge of administrative functions including interpersonal communications, office etiquette, and computer skills.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">Advanced knowledge of Wellbriety or 12-step treatment model and its application in residential treatment.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">Knowledge and understanding of systems of violence and trauma, including inter-generational effects of historical trauma and cultural diversity.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">Availability to work weekends – Flexible schedule.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">Must pass all background and credentialing checks.</span></span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><br></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">Wabanaki Public Health &amp; Wellness is an equal opportunity employer.<span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.</span></span></span></span></p>",
