As an experienced engineer, the Senior Design role involves providing technical leadership on complex projects, mentoring less experienced engineers, and solving advanced engineering challenges. This role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving innovation, and ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This role will be onsite in Dyersburg, TN. Relocation Assistance is available.</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead the design and development of transformers or related components, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, CSA) and customer specifications.</li>\n <li>Conduct advanced engineering analyses to optimize product performance, cost, and efficiency, addressing complex design challenges.</li>\n <li>Perform and oversee failure analysis on design-related issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and reliability.</li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership in design reviews, guiding decisions, and ensuring alignment with project objectives and customer requirements.</li>\n <li>Mentor and guide junior engineers by offering technical expertise, support, and development opportunities.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, sales, and customer service to ensure successful integration of designs into production.</li>\n <li>Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.</li>\n <li>Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and ensure competitive product designs.</li>\n <li>Lead continuous improvement initiatives, promoting innovation and efficiency in design processes and methodologies.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.</li>\n <li>More than 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on transformer or related product design.</li>\n <li>Proven ability to lead design projects from concept to production.</li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency with design and analysis tools, including electrical and thermal analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks).</li>\n <li>Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., VB .Net, C++, SQL) and database management tools (e.g., MySQL) </li>\n <li>Ability to interact with, maintain, and update ERP system data related to engineering processes. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, UL, IEC, CSA) and regulatory requirements (e.g. DOE) for transformers and related components.</li>\n <li>Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.</li>\n <li>Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex technical challenges independently.</li>\n <li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and priorities.</li>\n <li>Experience conducting failure analysis and implementing corrective actions for design-related issues.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Let’s Build the Future Together</strong></p>\n<p>At ERMCO, your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your impact is real.
