We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members. • Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join our team of experts and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist providers and clinical staff with patient rooming, exams, treatments, and minor procedures </li>\n <li>Obtain patient history and review of systems; measure and document vital signs and screenings </li>\n <li>Accurately document all care in the electronic medical record (EMR) using standardized workflows </li>\n <li>Perform specimen collection, including blood draws, and prepare samples for lab analysis as needed </li>\n <li>Carry out provider orders within scope of licensure, including administering medications and vaccinations </li>\n <li>Manage results, patient follow-ups, and tracking systems to support ongoing care </li>\n <li>Schedule referrals and complete required forms, requisitions, and appropriate CPT/ICD-10 coding </li>\n <li>Provide patient and family education as directed by the provider </li>\n <li>Interpret lab and procedure results within scope and take appropriate next steps </li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and organizational policies </li>\n <li>Participate in team communications and meetings; demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong customer service </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate’s Degree) required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s):</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required: \n  <ul>\n   <li>National Healthcareer Association </li>\n   <li>American Association of Medical Assistants </li>\n   <li>National Center for Competency Testing </li>\n   <li>National Certified Medical Assistant  </li>\n   <li>National Association of Health Professionals </li>\n   <li>American Registry of Medical Assistants </li>\n   <li>American Allied Health </li>\n   <li>American Medical Technologists </li>\n   <li>Certified Medical Administrative Assistant through the National Healthcareer Association </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Certified Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire. </li>\n <li>IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within 90 days of hire. </li>\n <li>IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing Care required within 90 days of hire. </li>\n</ul>",
