Also requires 3+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree plus 2 years experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:</strong> Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities for this Position</h2>\n<p><strong>Electrical Module Design Lead</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As an Electrical Module Design Lead, you’ll guide an electrical team of 1-3 members and coordinate cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems experts. You’ll be responsible for hardware design from requirements analysis through schematic capture, managing layout constraints, supporting PCB layout, manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification. You’ll collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to develop mission-critical hardware systems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As an Electrical Module Design Lead, you will be involved in all program phases, including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Requirements analysis</li>\n <li>System and Board Architecture</li>\n <li>Schematic capture, defining routing constraints, and supporting PCB layout and routing activities</li>\n <li>FPGA architecture and firmware</li>\n <li>Supporting manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification</li>\n <li>COTS components selection</li>\n <li>Schedule and budget decisions</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>You will primarily support the Strategic Systems area developing fire control and launch system hardware, with opportunities to work across GDMS.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills and Experiences:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Circuit card design incorporating embedded processors or FPGAs</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to execute a project from concept to production</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Siemens/Mentor Graphics Tools suite and FPGA design tools</li>\n <li>Circuit and PCB design knowledge</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What sets you apart:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to execute a project from concept to production</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of hardware development processes</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Siemens/Mentor Graphics Tools suite and FPGA design tools</li>\n <li>Exceptional communication skills with the ability to digest customer requests into actionable requirements</li>\n <li>Knowledge and application of EVMS and Control Account Management</li>\n <li>Circuit and PCB design knowledge</li>\n <li>Defense background is preferred, but not required</li>\n <li>Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Our Commitment to You:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Continuous learning and development opportunities</li>\n <li>Research-oriented work alongside award-winning teams</li>\n <li>Flexible schedules with every other Friday off (9/80 schedule)</li>\n <li>Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, healthcare benefits, health & wellness programs, and more</li>\n <li>See more at <u>gdmissionsystems.com/careers/why-work-for-us/benefits</u></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Workplace Options:</strong>This position is fully on-site. .
