font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">SIGNIFICANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Observe all store rules and company policies;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Must wear an approved hat or hair net;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Observe shift operating hours at all times as scheduled or assigned by store manager;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise; check and verify grocery receiving to ensure that items listed on vendor invoices are all delivered; check products for quality, count, and condition;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Take stock to storage or shelf areas;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Control freshness by coding all products and pulling out-of-code merchandise daily;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Reduce out-of-code merchandise daily for quick sale to maintain department's image for the highest quality and freshness;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Wrap, package and price all products accurately and legibly in accordance with established department procedures and guidelines;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Answer telephones and take special orders;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Keep manager or other designated personnel of low inventory conditions or excessive spoilage problems;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Comply with safety policies and procedures; read all Safety Committee bulletins;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Assist in training associates when assigned;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Control excessive uses of utilities and water and observe sound conservation practices;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Perform other duties and assignments as directed;</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service or assistance.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To prepare/organize the cooler/freezer/preparation area for receipt of merchandise, unload trucks, verify the merchandise against the invoice, inspect the delivery for shortages/damage and quality, sort cases for stocking or product preparation and code date the product.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To clean department floors, mirrors, case, tables, cooler, freezer, production equipment, product preparation area, and shelves. Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, substituting for absent workers and performing any additional tasks necessary to provide products and services to customers during peak periods of business.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To understand the operation, safety requirements and restraints of a baler, case cutter, pallet jack, intercom, pricing gun, yogurt machine, slicer, scales, wrapper, cash register, steam table, fryer, stove, smoker (must be 18 years or older to operate the pallet jack, baler, smoker, slicer, steam table and fryer and other equipment).</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To count and record individual items of merchandise for inventory.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To change department pricing as directed and manually price mark/label merchandise without an UPC code.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To evaluate product quality and move damaged/unsalable and \"returnable\" products from the case to the preparation area, re-processing the merchandise into a saleable form or marking the product down in price.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To prepare/package/label product: </span></span>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Sandwiches, pizza, salads, sliced meats, cheese, desserts, party trays, garnishes, vegetables, samples, plate dinners and fried foods.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Sliced fruits and vegetables.</span></span></li>\n</ol>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">To fill/stock: salad bar, coffee, beverage and ice cream/yogurt machine, display cases, and counter.</span></span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">QUALIFICATIONS </span></span><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">REQUIRED:</span></span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Basic mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to count.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">Able to give/receive complex verbal instructions/descriptions to/from supervisors/co-workers/employees concerning store/department policy/procedures and use of equipment.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">A stable work and educational history.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Lato, sans-serif;\"><br><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">The ability to read and write English.
