Successful applicants will have experience in one or more of the following areas, software design, test/flight testing, unmanned systems, technical manuals, and training systems.<p><br><strong>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Supports operation of engineering systems by evaluating and interpreting needs and problems and develops effective approaches to resolving those issues.</li><li>Troubleshoots, analyzes, and repairs systems in assigned area by utilizing standard engineering and scientific principles.</li><li>Directs the activities of designers, technicians and may direct the activities of less experienced professional staff.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Devises new approaches to resolve unusual or complex engineering problems.</li><li>Troubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements, difficult coordination requirements, and special material requirements.</li><li>Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required.</li><li>May represent the organization as the prime technical contact on small contracts or single component projects.</li><li>Provides direction to design or technical staff and may lead a team of moderately experienced professional staff.</li><li>Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.</li><li>Supports the development of project plans, including Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Bills of Material (BOM) and Basis of Estimation (BOE) for labor hours and deliverables to be included in a proposal response.</li><li>Leads integration and flight test activities for a range of advanced capabilities into unmanned aircraft and related systems.</li><li>Full lifecycle program execution from concept through airworthiness testing, certification, and fielding.</li><li>Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.</li><li>Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.</li></ul><br>We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.<br><br><strong>Highlights Working For GA-ASI:</strong><ul><li>This position is eligible for the Individual Compensation Program (ICP) bonus.</li><li>This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment pending project needs.</li><li>Outstanding benefits including: 401(k) (with company match), company pension, on site cafeterias, gyms and outdoor recreation centers, Employee Recreation Association (ERA) which gives unlimited access to events and amusement parks such as San Diego Zoo and Safari Park at discounted rates.</li><li>Outstanding work environment: team-centric, value and respect all contributors, great growth potential within GA-ASI project engineering and GA-ASI as a whole.</li><li>Free Electric Vehicle (EV) charging while at work.</li></ul>",
