&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</span></u></h1><p><br></p><p><strong>Performs with excellence, the following tasks, including but not limited to:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>When necessary and appropriate, acts as a team leader in dealing with emergency and non-emergency situations, directing and supervising other members of the emergency medical care team.</li><li>Provide basic and advanced life support, including comprehensive patient assessment, invasive airway management, cardiac monitoring and administration of medications.</li><li>Determine the nature and extent of various medical and injury related problems, following established treatment protocols, and transporting patients to the appropriate receiving medical care facility.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs manual and technical duties and responsibilities required to mitigate emergency medical incidents.</li><li>Follows established regulations (12 VAC 5-31), standard operating procedures and regional protocols in the application of pre-hospital care and in completing job duties.</li><li>Supervises and provides patient care at the scene of emergency incidents, as needed.</li><li>Completes and maintains accurate records and documentation with regard to transport, equipment inspection, supplies usage incidents, and other forms of documentation inherent in the operation<a id=\"_anchor_4\" href=\"#_msocom_4\" language=\"JavaScript\" name=\"_msoanchor_4\" target=\"_blank\"></a>.</li><li>Provides support for fire and hazardous material activities as required by the Incident Commander, which may include, but is not limited to: fire suppression, EMS standby, patient care, over haul operations, safety officer responsibilities, rehabilitation sector standby, etc.</li><li>Inspects and promptly reports damage, deficiencies, safety issues or other problems with ambulances, department vehicles, equipment and supplies, or any other matters relevant to safe, efficient and proper operation<a id=\"_anchor_5\" href=\"#_msocom_5\" language=\"JavaScript\" name=\"_msoanchor_5\" target=\"_blank\"></a>.</li><li>Checks and maintains assigned medical equipment, assures supplies, medications and other expendables are maintained at their desired level.<a id=\"_anchor_6\" href=\"#_msocom_6\" language=\"JavaScript\" name=\"_msoanchor_6\" target=\"_blank\"></a></li><li>Completes various day-to-day station chores (i.e. cleaning, laundry, maintenance trash removal etc.).</li><li>Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality patient care.</li><li>Participates in public relations, educational, recruitment and retention programs as directed by the Deputy Director - EMS.<a id=\"_anchor_9\" href=\"#_msocom_9\" language=\"JavaScript\" name=\"_msoanchor_9\" target=\"_blank\"></a></li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u>&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Two years of college or graduation from a business college plus additional college level coursework in related programs. <strong>Desired:</strong> Associates Degree in a related field</li><li>One year of full time, active emergency medical services experience. <strong>Desired</strong>: Previous experience in combination, career and volunteer public safety setting.</li><li>Valid Virginia Drivers&rsquo;
