    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Island Private School of Limassol</span> is seeking a competent and experienced<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Afternoon Pre-Primary Teacher</span> to join the team for the 2026-2027 academic year.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">We are also in the process of planning our new school campus on a beautiful 50,000 m2 site, that will include kindergartens, elementary and high schools, an international boarding school, and accommodation for teachers. This is a great opportunity to join a growing school on the cusp of a major turning point.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working hours:<span> </span></span>Monday to Friday/ 14:00-18:00. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">General responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Be an active and collaborative member of the class-team including participation in collaborative PYP meetings, development and following classroom management rules, essentials team rules, approaches to teaching. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Collaborate with other team teachers (homeroom teacher and co-teacher(s)) to ensure a seamless transition between activities and programmes of the first and second parts of the day.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Transfer teaching skills and experience to extracurricular assistants, including class daily routines and management.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Design and plan extracurricular activities that are age-appropriate, engaging for children and are aligned with the curriculum.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Ensure that all the necessary materials and resources are in place to facilitate the activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Deliver extracurricular activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Encourage children to participate and engage in activities and facilitate discussions that encourage critical thinking.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Transform challenging situations in the classroom into educational tools (dressing up, cleaning up, etc.). </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Monitor and ensure that students follow established routines and procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Support children in personal hygiene and wellbeing routines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Ensure safety and wellbeing of the children as well as proper school property usage in the Primary section of the school through  maintaining a safe and secure environment, and supervising children to ensure that they are following the established rules, routines and procedures and behaving appropriately. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Ensure that the children are picked up by their parents at the end of the day.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Maintain confidentiality about children’s learning, development and care at all times.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Communicate with the parents in order to provide them feedback about their children's learning experience and wellbeing in the second half of the school day. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Follow all relevant policies and procedures regarding safety, child protection, and health and safety.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Bachelor’s degree in Pre–primary education is an advantage. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Professional Educator Diploma or other teacher qualification if available (e.g. QTS, PGCE).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Fluency in English level C1 at least and international mindedness.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Familiar with technology use in teaching and learning. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Compassionate and attentive to students; knows how children learn and can support their learning.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Remember how to be curious and awed by the world around.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Can create and improvise and has a desire to co-create a child-centred curriculum and bring it to life.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Has a mild allergy to sitting at the desk and strictly following the prescribed curriculum. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;
